Animal Care & Veterinary Science

Animal Care & Veterinary Science is focused on preparing students for jobs in the Animal Health Care field. Students will work with mostly small animals that would be typical patients at local veterinary hospitals, grooming facilities, or visitors to pet retail stores. As in many of our Compact programs students who want to branch off in other areas (maybe working with horses other large animals or exotic animals) will have some opportunities of this nature as well. The program will feature a "doggie day care" and a "dog wash"  facility so that student will get the experience of working with multiple animals and serving customers. The program has a solid network of local businesses that will help provide guest speakers, field trip opportunities, and possible internships or entry level jobs.

See the Virtual Spring Open House for incoming Compact students participating in Animal Care & Veterinary Science.
