Masonry Students Place 1st at Competition

Congratulations to Compact Masonry (at Norton High School) students Tyler Johnson (BHS), Dominic Woodruff (BHS), Joe Bennett (NHS) and Joey Mack (CHS) for their participation and success in the Ohio-Kentucky Administrative District Council for Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers annual Masonry Skills Competition in Amherst ,Ohio on December 5th. Contestants are given a blueprint of a project to build, and 4 hours to complete it. The projects are then judged on tolerances acceptable to the construction industry by professionals in the field. Joe Bennett won FIRST PLACE in the Senior level and Joey Mack finished 3rd. Tyler Johnson placed FIRST in the Junior division. All Compact competitors demonstrated exemplary skills in the building of the project. With continued hard work in the classroom and the lab each one will set themselves up for a promising career after graduation.
