Engineering Students Compete in Bridge Competition

Select junior students in the Compact's Engineering Design & Technology Program (@WHS) recently competed in a Bridge Building Competition at the Summit County Fairgrounds sponsored by the the Summit County Engineers. Hats off to Gabriel Decker (NHS), Zachary Jackson (BHS), and Matt Leemaster (NHS) for doing a fantastic job! Thanks also to Engineering Design & Technology teacher Kip Shipley for helping the students experience another great hands on learning activity! It is one thing to learn new information, but quite a deeper learning experience when you have to APPLY what you've learned and PROBLEM SOLVE as you do it!! Not to mention working as a TEAM and COMMUNICATING with your coworkers! All real world work skills!! Way to go Engineering Design & Technology- Proud of your efforts!!
