Engineering and Robotics Programs Attend SME Prime Showcase

The Compact's partnership with SME Prime has many benefits, not the least of which is networking. This past week 14 students from the Engineering and Design Program and the Programming, Design and Robotics Program traveled with their teachers Kip Shipley and Jason Van Kirk to Southfield Michigan for the SME Prime Showcase event. Once there the students presented their projects to the SME Board of Directors and met with representatives from local industry partners like: Ford, GM, Arconic, and Shape Corp. Now when we say one of the best things we can offer career tech students are EXPERIENCES- this is exactly what we mean.  Way to go Engineering and Programming/Robotics students! You make the Compact proud and impress others wherever you travel!
